I did file complaints with the BBB, MN Attorney General and Senior Linkage. I had received refunds for 3 of the months from Advocate My Meds, but not for the remainder of the money I had paid to them which was $109.95.

Advocate My Meds called me on 1-18-19, They stated that they would not be refunding the remainder of my refund. We did go round and round on this fact but did not get it resolved. Then on 2-5-19 I received a text from Advocate My Meds stating they had released a refund to my account. Refunds take 24-72 business hours to process.

On 2-12-19 I received the remainder the refund of $109.95. So I have received a full refund. So I am happy to say I did get all of my money back although it took a while to do this. I am not sure as to why they changed their minds, perhaps it was the complaint made to the Attorney General or Senior Linkage as I have not yet received any replies from them.

The BBB contacted me several times and in the last contact they stated they were closing their investigation.I do continue to believe that Advocate My Meds have questionable business practices and scam people out of their money. My story is the same as many people who have used Advocate My Meds.

I am very happy to have received a full refund but would really like their business investigated and do not recommend that people use this agency as it is just as easy to go through the pharmaceutical company, they request the same information, with results in a few weeks as to if you qualify and do not charge you for this service. I know I would not have received any refunds if I did not continue to work on making complaints to the different agencies.

I was referred to Advocate My Meds by Senior Linkage back in Sept 2018 after I called to see if there was any assistance programs to help to pay for high cost medications. I have the same complaints as most people here.

I was strung along, always asking for more information or that I had missing information. I would send this information in and 3-4 weeks later I am asked for more information. I was even told that the that the pharmaceutical companies were the ones asking for the missing information not Advocate My Meds. I too was told that the monthly money that I was paying Advocate My Meds was for the drug.

I had a person from Senior Linkage on the line with me when I was told about this and their service agreement, she heard him say that the monthly fee was for the medication. Advocate My Meds denied this. Some of the people I spoke with were very rude also. Most times when I called them I would be put on hold for at least 1/2 hour, but most times for an hour.

So $259.80 later, I still have no medications plus paying their monthly fee of $49.90 and paying for my medication every month. On 1-4-19 I called Advocate My Meds to find out what was going on, as I was told on 12-10-18 that all my information was sent for approval and was told to call back on 1-7-19 as they needed to see what was going on with the pharmaceutical company. I called back on 1-8-19 and was told I was approved, my medication would be mailed out on 1-10-19 and I would receive my medications 5-7 days from the date they are sent out on. I even asked if they would be sent to my address, the woman put me on hold to check and then told me yes.

I received a call on 1-11-19 and was told that I needed to send another explanation of benefits for the year 2019 that I have spent $1100.00 out of pocket for 2019 and they wanted to know how soon I could get this into them?!? Really!!! This is where things went south. I was mad and in no uncertain terms told them.

They told me that they would wave Feb fee and could I get them the explanation of benefits by March. Again we round and round about their services and not providing services they advertise. The man said "I will see if I can do anything else", put me on hold and came back on and said that they would cancel my services at my request and I needed to send in a letter stating I wanted to cancel their services. I told them I did not request this, they did.

I ended up hanging up on them. I then received 2 emails and 2 texts requesting my cancelation letter as I requested. I called my bank, requested to stop payments, they were informed about what was going on and stated they would request my money back and investigate. Also made a complaint to the BBB and called Senior Linkage who stated that Advocated My Meds were not on their approved list and wondered why I was given their name.

They will also be investigating Advocate My Meds for senior fraud and abuse. As a side note, I did leave a review on Advocate My Meds web site, I received 2 emails and a text about 10-15 minutes after my review stating my money was being refunded PER MY REQUEST and also received a phone call with a message left stating they would like to talk with me and will call back on Monday. I do not feel we have anymore to say and do not wish to listen to anymore of their lies so will not be answering the phone.

Still no money refunded! Shocked Shocked

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $259.

Preferred solution: Investigation of this company for senior fraud and abuse.

You're on the right track - place or accept no more calls, text messages, or e-mails. All communication must be served in writing via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested.

You can start the ballgame by issuing a written and duly served demand for all further communications from them to be placed in the same manner. Hey, you're hard of hearing ; you can't talk to them on the phone (me too) and you're (probably) a senior citizen (like me) and get confused easily when spoken to quickly or quietly (I do). Also, I never conduct business over the telephone since my retirement years ago.

Change your phone number and e-mail to cut them off at the knees. Get someone like me whose career consisted of dealing with abject dimwits and who knows how to handle intransigent vendors with every method known to man.
